Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the conditions for using ImportMargin by AMI Group. This page is a professional placeholder, written to be thorough and specific to how the platform actually works, but it is not legal advice — it should be reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before public launch.
1. Use of the platform
ImportMargin is provided as a planning and business decision support tool for importers, traders and clearing agents, across two linked workspaces: an importer portal and a clearing-agent portal. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Users are responsible for ensuring that the information they enter is accurate and lawful.
2. Estimates, calculations and AI-generated content
Landed cost, margin, duty, tax, freight and related calculations are planning estimates only. Final customs duty, tax classification, documentation requirements and official charges should be confirmed with ZIMRA or a registered clearing agent before committing money to an import. Features that use AI (Quick Estimate, invoice extraction, Import Copilot analysis and chat, supplier intelligence) generate their output automatically based on the information you provide and may be inaccurate or incomplete; they are a decision-support aid, not professional customs, financial, investment or legal advice, and you remain responsible for verifying anything before acting on it.
3. User accounts and communications
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and for all activity performed through their accounts. AMI Group may restrict or suspend access where misuse, abuse, fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected. By providing a phone number and opting into WhatsApp verification, you consent to receive verification-code messages from us over WhatsApp; this is used only for account verification, not marketing.
4. Payments and fees
Core landed-cost planning is free and unlimited. Certain features (such as a shipment's full Import Decision Pass analysis, or unlocking a clearing agent's contact details) are one-time paid unlocks processed through Paynow, our Zimbabwean payment gateway — we never see or store your card or mobile-money credentials. Paid unlocks are billed as described on-screen at the time of purchase; unless required by law, fees already paid for a delivered unlock are non-refundable, but a payment that fails to complete or is not confirmed as successful is not charged.
5. Data and confidentiality
Users should not upload information they are not authorized to use. ImportMargin should be used in a professional manner, especially when handling client records, quotations, documents and shipment information. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the data you provide.
6. Agent–client relationships
Where an importer connects with, shares a shipment with, or is invited by a clearing agent through the platform, ImportMargin provides the connection and collaboration tools only. AMI Group is not a party to, and does not supervise, any clearing, brokerage or commercial arrangement between an importer and an agent, and is not responsible for the accuracy of any quotation, estimate or service an agent provides to their client.
7. Intellectual property
The ImportMargin platform, its design, branding and underlying software belong to AMI Group. You retain ownership of the shipment, product and business data you enter; by using the platform you grant AMI Group the limited right to process that data solely to provide the service to you.
8. Service availability
ImportMargin is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee the platform, or any third-party service it depends on, will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
AMI Group is not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on estimates or AI-generated output, incorrect input data, customs changes, supplier changes, exchange-rate movement, freight changes, third-party service outages, or other external factors outside the platform.
10. Termination
You may stop using ImportMargin and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, suspected fraud or misuse, or non-payment of fees owed for a purchased feature.
11. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your own country of residence.
